Porsche 911-Series
Porsche uses its oldest nameplate 911 to designate a wide range of coupe and open rear engine sports cars. The first 911 was seen in 1964, but countless changes have been made. Series available include Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4 and 4S (all wheel drive), Targa 4, Targa 4S, Turbo, GT3 and RS. The GT3 gets the facelift that other models were granted last year. Rear horizontally opposed 3.6 and 3.8 liter sixes range in output from 345 to 480 hp, depending on model. Six speed manual, 5-speed automatic or new 7-speed PDK double clutch automatic are the gearbox choices, again depending on model. Body styles include the traditional coupe, roll-bar-type roofed Targa and open Cabriolet.
