Audi TTS

The Audi TTS is available in two body styles – the Audi TTS Coupe and Audi TTS Roadster.The latest version in the Audi TTS has received many modifications and a larger turbocharger engine.The new TTS comes with standard adaptive shock absorber technology as well as high performance braking system, giving you the best of both worlds.
Let’s glance through various generations of Audi TTS, before taking a better look at the latest Audi TTS.

AUDI TTS 2008
The 2008 Audi TTS is powered by a high-performance engine that delivers maximum output. The 2008 version is equipped with a 2.0-L turbo direct-injection engine. The engine is capable of developing 280-hp. You can also find optional 3.2-liter V-6 engine with this 2008 model. The horse power of the regular engine is greater than the optional V6 engine.
The standard equipments in the 2008 Audi TTS include –
adaptive magnetic shocks,
Quattro drive, and
finally a 6-speed manual transmission.
The direct shift gear box is not equipped on new Audi TTS version.

AUDI TTS 2009
The 2009 Audi TTS is accessible with 2+2 coupe-styled vehicle or as 2-seater convertible.
The base trim in the 2009 version comes with standard 18-inch alloy wheels, automatically retractable spoiler, xenon headlights, front sport seats that can be adjusted manually.
The appearance of 2009 Audi TTS is a bit muscular. The body is manufactured with steel and aluminum. The coupe version of the 2009 Audi TTS weighs nearly 1395 kilograms, whereas the roadster version in the lineup weighs 1455 kilograms. The coupe version and roadster model measures 6.04 ft wide and 13.77 ft long.
The roadster and coupe measure 13.77 ft long and 6.04 ft wide. The roadster also has a hardtop which can be opened and closed in just 12 seconds.

AUDI TTS 2010
The 2010 TTS acquires unique Bauhaus styling with Audi’s present advanced technology and contemporary design theme. The space frame for coupe has 69% of aluminum and 31% of steel.
All the 2010 TTS models are powered by 265-hp turbocharged direct-injection 2.0-L engine that has 4-cylinder mated to 6-speed automatic S-tronic transmission.
The all-wheel drive system in the TTS is customized for quicker response time. The unique body treatment in the vehicle includes black brake calipers and 18” wheels that provide the visual differentiation from the base model – Audi TT.
The safety features in the Audi TTS 2010 edition include –
• side, front and knee airbags,
• tire pressure monitoring system,
• four wheel anti-lock brakes,
• traction control, and
• stability control system.
The Premium Plus package for 2010 has been dropped, while Bluetooth has been included as a standard equipment.
2010 Audi TTS 0-60 Time
Audi disclosed that the 2010 Audi TTS can sprint zero to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds, which is fairly close to 0-60time of Porsche Cayman with 4.4 seconds.

AUDI TTS 2011

The Audi TT Coupe and Roadster models enter the 2011 model year with some modest exterior styling changes, a revised interior and the introduction of the firm's new 2.0-liter TFSI gasoline engine with 211 ponies on the entry-level versions.

The new 2.0 TFSI delivers 211HP and 258 lb-ft, or 11-horsepower and 51 lb-ft of torque more than its 2.0-liter predecessor. With the six-speed manual, the two-liter engine accelerates the Coupe from zero to 100 km/h (62mph) in 6.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 245 km/h or 152mph.
Optionally, Audi also offers the 2.0 TFSI with a six-speed S tronic dual clutch gearbox and quattro permanent all-wheel drive. The spring from zero to 100 km/h takes only 5.6 s in this configuration.
According to the Ingolstadt automaker, the 2011 TT 2.0 TFSI consumes 6.6 liters of fuel per 100 km (35.6mpg US) in the European test cycle with CO2 emissions of 154 g/km (247.8 g/mile).
There are no mechanical changes for the 272HP TTS and the 340HP five-cylinder TT RS models. However, Audi said that starting this fall, the TT RS will be offered optionally with a newly developed version of the S tronic dual clutch transmission.
